Their infectious energy, humour and every-genre-in attitude garnishes punchy horn lines and catchy choruses on a base of skank-funk, dub reggae, pop hooks and headbanging - culminating in a sweaty festival fiasco at every show.

Fat Picnic’s highlights include appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Woodford Folk Festival; frequenting Caloundra and Island Vibe, Wallaby Creek And Townsville Folk Festivals; main support for Katchafire, and every music video shoot.

Fearless leader Hughie Doherty founded Fat Picnic in 2010 with vibrant West End as their spiritual home and meeting place. They have since created communities of dance-crazed chauvinists across the entire East Coast as an Australian festival favourite. 

Fat Picnic released their debut LP 'Get Out Of My Fridge' in 2019 with Paulie B and OJ Newcomb at the desk, backing up a catalogue of established fan favourites. 

In 2023, Fat Picnic are lined-up at festivals and stages across Australia, with singles from a brand new album slated for release later in the year.
